Asia’s iconic eco resort The Datai Langkawi has been chosen as one of the region’s foremost luxury hotels by readers of Condé Nast Traveller magazine (UK edition). Named as the fourth best hotel in Asia and the Indian Subcontinent – up from 12th last year – the resort was hailed as the 27th best travel experience in The World’s Top 100. The Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards reward the very best in travel, from airlines to villas, and are seen by many as one of the most important accolades in the industry.

Speaking about The Datai Langkawi’s success, General Manager Arnaud Girodon said: “We are delighted to have been acknowledged by these awards again and thrilled to have achieved a higher placing than we did for the last 14 years! We’re in such good company in the Top 100 and achieving an accolade like this helps cement our reputation as one of the world’s leading hotels. More importantly though, it offers recognition for the excellent service delivered by our friendly and hard-working team – after all, we pride ourselves on offering the finest Malaysian hospitality.

“We really appreciate the fact that it’s the readers of Condé Nast Traveller who vote for their favourite travel experiences and we thank our guests for their continued support.”
